Popular Tamil actress Ramya who is know for her films such as ‘Pollaadhavan’ with Dhanush and ‘Kuthu’ with Simbu has been active in politics full time who is now an MP in the Congress party.

Now, the Vice President of the Congress Rahul Gandhi has appointed Ramya to head the social media cell of the the party. Earlier this post was held by Dipendra Singh Hooda, the son of former Haryana CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda.

Congress has made this decision in light of the upcoming elections in Karnataka so as to add strength to their political campaign against the BJP.
