Ever green actress Trisha who was at the top during the 2000s had a brief lull in her career. However she made a strong comeback with '96' directed by Premkumar and costarring Vijay Sethupathi. She followed it up with a towering performance as Kundavai in 'Ponniyin Selvan' and 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' directed by Mani Ratnam.

Recently Trisha starred opposite Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay's blockbuster hit 'Leo' and is currently in Azerbaijan shooting for the Ajith Kumar starrer 'Vidaamuyarchi'. In the meantime Trisha reacted strongly to veteran actor Mansoor Ali Khan's derogatory remarks lamenting that he could not share screen space with her in 'Leo'. He went to the extent of expressing distastefully that he was disappointed that he could not manhandle her as a "rapist" like how he used to do other actresses during his villain roles in the 90s.

Even as the Trisha - Mansoor Ali Khan controversy is raging on social media, the lovely 40 year old actress has reportedly signed a major rupees three hundred crores budgeted new pan Indian movie. It is said that Trisha has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Allu Arjun in a new movie directed by top Tollywood helmer Trivikram. The official word is not out yet.

It is worth mentioning that Trisha has already worked with Trivikram in the blockbuster hit 'Athadu' starring Mahesh Babu. This will be her first collaboration with Allu Arjun after appearing with him in the short film 'I am the Change' directed by Sukumar released in 2014. Trisha's current projects are all with top heroes including Kamal Haasan in 'Thug Life' directed by Mani Ratnam.
