Samantha is all set to make a big bang career vice in the new year with several interesting projects under her belt. One of the new projects that went on floors recently is the Telugu/Tamil bilingual 'Yashoda' directed by Hari-Harish and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies banner.

The latest update on 'Yashoda' is that talented actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar known for her powerful portrayals in Tamil and Telugu films has joined the cast. This will be the first time she is sharing screenspace with Samantha and has already started shooting for her portions.

Varu has recently given two back to back super hits in Telugu such as 'Krack' and 'Naandhi' and she was the natural choice for the bilingual. The thriller will also release in Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada in 2022.
