Actress Vichithra is known for her character and glamour roles in the late eighties and nineties. Her most memorable role came in the 1992 film 'Thalaivasal' directed by Selvaa in which she played the role of Madippu Hamsa which name sort of stuck to her after that. She also played a comedy role in Rajinikanth's 'Muthu' and another character role in Jayam Ravi's debut 'Jayam'.

Vichithra in an exclusive interview to us has shared that she made her debut in Tamil cinema at sixteen and at that very young age she experienced all the worst elements of the cine field. She went on to add that many films that she acted as heroine in did not release and without any option agreed to appear in an item number in 'Aatma' directed by Prathap Pothen.

After that only item dance chances came her way and a depressed Vichithra through singer Deepan Chakravarthy came to know about the Aravind and Amma Ashram in Puducherry where she found true peace. She is now married and settled in Bengaluru and is concentrating on business. Do watch the full interview video of Vichithra where she has shared many more details about herself as an actress and her current life.
