Popular comedy actor - director to contest elections from ADMK?

Popular Tamil comedy actor and director Ravi Maria and has bought the candidate application to contest in elections on behalf of ADMK party and this has come across as an unexpected decision.

Ravi Maria who started his career directing movies like Aasai Aasaiyai, Milaga etc and later went on to act in movies like Mayandi Kudumbathar, Desingu Raja, Velainu Vandhuta Vellakaran, Jilla, Manam Kothi Paravai, Thupparivaalan etc.

Ravi Maria has now bought the candidate application to contest elections on behalf of ADMK party from Kanyakumari district, Vilavangodu constituency, and photos of Ravi Maria getting the candidate application have turned viral.
