After a hit, Aftab gears up for 'Grand Masti'

Wait for a solid hit is over for Aftab Shivdasani and he is in a much happier state of mind as he participates in a maparthon shooting schedule of 'Grand Masti' with a renewed vigour and enthusiasm.

His '1920 - Evil Returns', despite competition from nothing less than James Bond's 'Skyfall' as well as a curtailed run of mere 10 days (due to mid-week release of 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and 'Son of Sardaar') has still managed to make it's moolah (around 25 crores).

With things looking fabulous for the actor who took a head-start in his career more than a decade back with Ram Gopal Varma's 'Mast', Aftab is indeed ecstatic to be finding himself in a comfortable position all over again.

Yes, it has been fantastic to see '1920 - Evil Returns' being accepted in such a big way. The kind of opening that it took and the way it sustained itself right through its 10 day play was so gratifying, exclaims Aftab for whom this was his ninth collaboration with Vikram Bhatt, It is good to be working with people whom you know.

After Vikram Bhatt, it is Indra Kumar for 'Grand Masti'. These are respectable filmmakers and always bring something interesting on the table.

We hope this indeed happens with 'Grand Masti' as well which is expected to hit the screens in mid-2013.
