While Actress Chandini's complaint against former AIADMK minister Manikandan is still raging, his wife Vasanthi also has lodged a complaint with the police.

Former Minister Manikandan's wife Vasanthi has recently lodged a complaint with the Ramanathapuram Police Commissioner's Office alleging that Chandini had made a false complaint with the intention of ruining her family life and thus causing distress to herself and her family.

It is said that the complaint was sent to the Madurai IG's office and from there it was ordered to be sent to the Chennai Adyar police station where the case is dealt.

It is notable that Chandini accused Manikandan of rape, and sexual exploitation. She also stated that he refused to marry her and forced her for an abortion.
