Sensible storyteller Kranthi Madhav, known for films like Onamalu, Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju, and World Famous Lover, is back with a fresh and emotional love story. His upcoming directorial, tentatively titled Production No. 5, stars Chaitanya Rao Madadi, Ira, and Sakhi in lead roles. The film is being produced by Purna Naidu and Srikanth V under the banners of Sreeyas Chitra and Purna Naidu Production.

Marking the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, the project was formally launched with a traditional pooja ceremony on October 3rd. The ceremony was graced by industry well-wishers: Director Deva Katta sounded the first clap, KL Damodar Prasad switched on the camera, and Vara Mullapudi directed the first scene as guest of honor.

Speaking about the film, director Kranthi Madhav said, “This is my fifth film and my second with Chaitanya. Ira is making her Telugu debut, while Sakhi, who comes from Bengali television, is also stepping into Telugu cinema. This is a new-age love story that we plan to shoot on a grand scale in beautiful locations. After my last film didn’t do well, it was Purna Naidu who encouraged me to move forward. His support during my difficult time means a lot, and I’m excited to tell this heartfelt story.”

Actor Chaitanya Rao shared his excitement, saying, “Working with Kranthi sir on back-to-back films is truly special. I admire him deeply and loved the narration of this new-age love story. After Mayasabha and Ghaati, this film is another meaningful step in my career. I believe audiences expect something new from me every time, and I’m grateful to the director and producers for this opportunity.”

Producer Purna Naidu added, “I always wanted to work with Kranthi Madhav, and I’ve admired the kind of stories he tells. Srikanth has been my partner in all projects, including this one. We are confident this film will connect with today’s audience.”

Making her Telugu debut, actress Ira expressed her joy: “Though I started my career in Tamil, Telugu has always been close to my heart since I speak the language at home. Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju is one of my favorite films, and being directed by Kranthi sir is a dream come true. I instantly loved the story, and I’m excited to work with Chaitanya.”

With its promising cast, heartfelt premise, and Kranthi Madhav’s signature storytelling, Production No. 5 is shaping up to be a soulful romantic entertainer. More details about the film’s music and technical crew will be revealed soon.
