After portraying Vijay’s father in the 2014 hit Jilla, veteran Malayalam actor Mohanlal might soon step into a similar role for another Tamil mass hero — Sivakarthikeyan.

Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy shooting for Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. Meanwhile, reports have emerged about another upcoming project, directed by Good Night fame Vinayak Chandrasekaran and produced by Fashion Studio.

This new film is said to revolve around a strong father-son emotional dynamic. With the father’s role holding significant weight in the storyline, the makers are reportedly in talks with Mohanlal to play the pivotal character.

Though an official confirmation is awaited, sources suggest that discussions are underway. If confirmed, this would mark a major on-screen collaboration between Mohanlal and Sivakarthikeyan, much like the successful Jilla, where Mohanlal’s role as Vijay’s father won much appreciation.
