Dance choreographer turned actress Vasanthi, who recently became an overnight sensation with her performance as Agent Tina in the blockbuster Tamil movie ‘Vikram’, is all set to make her debut in Malayalam cinema. Vasanthi was working as choreographer Dinesh Master’s assistant when filmmaker Lokesh spotted her and offered an important role in the Kamal Haasan starrer film ‘Vikram’. After she grabbed the eyeballs of many with her stunning performance in Vikram, movie offers have been pouring in for Vasanthi.Now, the talented actress has been roped in to share screen space with mega star Mammootty in the yet-to-be titled upcoming B Unnikrishnan directorial. If the reports are to believed, Vasanthi plays a pivotal role that will have a lot of screen space. In the upcoming thriller, Mammootty will be essaying the role of a police officer. Sneha, Amala Paul and Aiswarya Lekshmi have been roped in as the female leads. Actor Vinay Rai plays the baddie in the film along with actors Shine Tom Chacko, Dileesh Pothen, Sidhique and Jinu Abraham appearing in significant roles. Coming to the technicalities, cinematographer Faiz Sidhique of ‘Operation Java’ fame would be cranking the camera. Music is by Justin Varghese and editing is by Manoj. The movie's shoot is progressing at a brisk pace.
