Ajay Devgan to play Tansen in this Bhansali project ?

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has his hands on several exciting and ambitious projects these days. His film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan is awaiting the release while he himself is busy with the casting process of 'Heera Mandi' and 'Baiju Bawra'. The casting of 'Baiju Bawra' in particular has taken several twists and turns and the latest buzz suggests that Bhansali wants Ajay Devgan to play an important part in the film.
Ajay already stars in Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' as a character inspired by Karim Lala and now according to several media reports, the filmmaker wants him to play Tansen in 'Baiju Bawra'. However, there has been no official confirmation to these reports. Few months back, 'Baiju Bawra' made headlines when it was reported that Deepika Padukone wants to star alongside Ranveer Singh in the project but Bhansali has plans to cast Alia Bhatt instead.
Look like fans have to wait for an official announcement for any confirmation meanwhile, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is set to hit the theatres on 18th of February 2022.
