Ajith is known for his caring ways and he was at it again on the sets of his upcoming venture, directed by Siruthai Siva. The 'thala', it is learnt, surprised Lakshmi Menon with a gift, for her clearing the Plus Two board exams.

"Lakshi Menon didn't expect it and she was pleasantly shocked. She is touched with the humble and affectionate ways of Ajith and is all praise for him," sources close to the unit say.

The yet untitled movie is taking shape fast. Soon, the team will complete the Chennai schedule and will head for Kolkata, where some crucial scenes are to be shot. Shruti Haasan is the heroine, while the music is being scored by Anirudh.
