The film ‘Good Bad Ugly’, starring actor Ajith Kumar and directed by Adhik Ravichandran, was released on June 10. The film was produced by Mythri Movie Makers. It featured popular songs composed by Ilaiyaraaja, including "Otha Roova Thaarein", "Ilamai Idho Idho", and "En Jodi Manja Kuruvi".

Recently, Ilaiyaraaja’s legal team sent a notice to the film’s producers demanding a compensation of ₹5 crore for using his songs without proper permission.

In response, producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers clarified that all necessary steps were taken to use the songs legally. He stated that they obtained appropriate permissions from the respective music rights companies, paid the required fees, and received clearance certificates.

Ravi Shankar also mentioned that they have not received any official notice from Ilaiyaraaja yet. He added that they have great respect for the music legend and if a notice does arrive, their legal team would respond accordingly.
