The news of actor Ajith Kumar being admitted to Apollo Hospital came as a shock to the fans. While his spokesperson told the media that it was a routine health checkup, reports broke out that AK underwent critical surgery in his brain and a tumour was removed.

Now, Ajith Kumar’s manager Suresh Chandra has clarified whether the news is true. He said, “The news regarding the operation on a brain tumour is not true. During a regular health checkup, doctors found that nerves were weak below the ear. The treatment for the same was completed within half an hour.”

“Now, he is shifted to a normal ward. He will be discharged either tonight or tomorrow morning,” added AK’s manager. This official health update is a big relief to the fans. Given this situation, the actor is expected to rest for some time before resuming for his upcoming biggie ‘Vidaamuyarchi’, directed by Magizh Thirumeni.
