Ajith's 'Thunivu' director H Vinoth talks about Vijay & Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Thalapathy 67'!

H Vinoth is now a prominent filmmaker in the Tamil film industry who doesn't need a detailed introduction. He is thrilled about his upcoming film 'Thunivu' starring Ajith Kumar and participating in interviews with popular media in the last few days.

The hot news is that Vinoth talked about Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's forthcoming project 'Thalapathy 67' in one of his recent interactions. During an interview with India Today, he revealed that Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's movie could be a Pan-Indian flick. Interestingly, Thunivu is clashing with Vijay's 'Varisu' at the box office on Pongal 2023.

When he was asked whether Ajith or Vijay's movies could become Pan-Indian films, H Vinoth said, If you want to make a pan-Indian film, then you need to decide that on day one and start marketing it like that across India. Ajith and Vijay films are predominantly meant for the Tamil market and are driven by the heroes. In contrast, films like KGF or Baahubali are driven by the content.

Ajith and Vijay are kings of Tamil cinema and they act in Tamil films - if their films do well in other languages, then it's an added bonus. That's how their films have been made and marketed so far. I think Lokesh Kanagaraj's film with Vijay is being planned as a Pan-Indian film. So the story, the content and marketing will be planned accordingly and such a film will take time also - it can't be wrapped up in eight months, added the Theeran director.

Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj are reuniting after 'Master' in 'Thalapathy 67'. Produced by Seven Screen Studio, the film's muhurat puja took place in Chennai on December 5 but there was no official word regarding the same. The hype for Thalapathy 67 skyrocketed even before the official announcement. Stay tuned for more updates.
