Thala Ajith's new movie 'Thala 59' directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLC and Zee Studios began shoot with a pooja. The film is the remake of Bollywood hit 'Pink' with Ajith reprising the role played by Amitabh Bachan in the original.

'Pink' is about three girls played by Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang who are molested by three rich boys and how an aged lawyer (Amitabh) defends their case in court and brings the perpetrators to justice. It is said that in 'Thala 59' H Vinod has chosen director Adhik Ravichandran of 'AAA' and 'Trisha Ilana Nayanthara' fame to play one of the antagonists. Official confirmation is awaited on Adhik and the other cast members details.

Meanwhile Thala Ajith's 'Viswasam' directed by Siruthai Siva and costarring Nayanthara, Yogi Babu and Robo Shankar is gearing up for release on the long Pongal weekend on January 10th according to industry sources.
