After delivering one more blockbuster commercial hit 'Valimai', Ajith Kumar is silently shooting non stop for his next 'AK 61' at the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad.   We already reported to you that the story is based on a bank heist and Ajith will be appearing in a character with negative shades.

The buzz in Kollywood circles is that a part of 'AK 61' is based on true incidents that happened in director H. Vinoth's life.  According to the sources Vinoth's mother was harassed by small time bank officials for a loan amount that she procured.  It is said that the loan collection agents used to arrive at their home at early morning and demand repayment with exhorbitant interest rates.

If this buzz happens to be true then 'AK 61' will not only have thrilling elements of a bank heist but also the emotional angle of innocent people being exploited by unscrupulous bankers as well.

'AK 61' is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor with Ghibran scoring the music.  The film has Ajith, Manju Warrier, Yogi Babu, Veera and others in the cast.  Filming is going on in full swing with a Diwali 2022 release.
