As we reported on Sept 9, Akhil and his girl friend Shriya Bhupal are going to get engaged on Dec 9. An invite has been released by Amala and Nagarjuna Akkineni.

"With the blessings of Smt. Annapurna & Sri. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, we take immense pleasure in inviting you to the engagement ceremony of our son Akhil with Shriya, daughter of Shalini and Somanadri Bhupal," the invite said.

There are also reports that their marriage next year is planned to be an extravagant, destination marriage in Italy.
