Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal have teamed up on several occasions to deliver memorable performances like in Hera Pheri,Bhool Bhulaiya, Welcome, Oh My God and others. They were both set to reunite for the part three of Hera Pheri franchise but the plans couldn't be materialised. Now both the actors are set to appear in the sequel of their 2012 social comedy 'Oh My God.'

A source close to the film stated, “Akshay, Paresh, Ashwin and the entire gang have been keen to make Oh My God 2 for the longest time and have been brain storming on different ideas to come up with a story that’s better than the first part. And after several years of research and brainstorming, they have finally locked a script that does justice to the legacy of first part,” revealed a source close to the development, adding further that last through the last six months, Akshay himself has been involved developing the script of OMG 2."

If things go as planned, the project will go on floors by the end of April.
