Ali opens up on not joining Pawans Jana Sena

At a time when there is intense speculation that he will join YSRCP on Jan 9, comedian Ali has spoken to a news channel.  He recalled how he was initiated into TDP by actor-politician Murali Mohan way back in 1999.  "Six of us, including Vijaya Rama Rao garu, Ambika Krishna garu, TG Venkatesh garu, joined TDP back then.  It has been 20 years," he said.  Ali described his recent meeting with Jaganmohan Reddy during a flight journey as incidental.

What about Jana Sena Party?  After all, he been a very close friend of Pawan Kalyan for years?  To this question, Ali gave a diplomatic answer.  "He (Pawan) has established the party on his own.  He is his own soldier.  He doesn't invite anybody to join his party.  'If you come with me, you might face problems, so don't come along' is what he says (to his friends) often.

If his friends or relatives or someone goes to him and offers to join his party, the one question he asks them is why they want to join the party.  'Will you expect anything if I become the CM?' he asks.  He doesn't want me to looks like a member of one particular camp in the film industry.  He likes that I am a thorough family man who loves my wife and kids.  I keep his photo in my wallet.  He never asks me about joining his party.  I have never discussed politics with him," Ali replied.

Ali revealed that he would prefer MLA ticket from Guntur One Town from the party he joins ahead of the 2019 Assembly elections.  "My second preference would be Guntur Two Town," he said.
