Bollywood’s power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to move into their lavish new residence in Mumbai, built on the iconic Krishna Raj property that once belonged to Ranbir’s grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor.
The six-storey bungalow, named after Ranbir’s grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor, is now in its final stages of completion. The couple, along with their daughter Raha, is expected to perform a traditional griha pravesh soon, marking a new chapter in their family life.
However, celebrations have been slightly dampened after photos and videos of the under-construction home surfaced online. The viral clips, shared across social media and picked up by multiple publications, did not sit well with Alia.
Taking to Instagram, the actress expressed her displeasure, calling the act a clear invasion of privacy. She wrote, “I understand that in a city like Mumbai, space is limited – sometimes the view from your window is another person’s home. But that does not give anyone the right to film private residences and push those videos online. A video from our home – still under construction – has been recorded and circulated by multiple publications, without our knowledge or consent.”
Alia’s strong statement has reignited a wider conversation on the thin line between public curiosity and celebrity privacy. While fans are eagerly waiting for glimpses of the couple’s dream home, the incident has once again highlighted the need to respect personal boundaries, even for public figures.
