Alia Bhatts Gangubai Kathiawadi has a new release date 

Alia Bhatt's fans are super excited to see the actress in her upcoming gangster drama 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' but it looks like they're gonna have to wait a little longer. The release of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has been postponed by a month and a half. It was supposed to hit the theatres on 6th of January but according to the latest developments, it will now release on 18th of February.

Alia shared a statement on her Instagram account that read, "We are glad to announce that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi has a new release date. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios). The film will release on February 18, 2022."

'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is going to be vastly different from the roles that Alia is used to doing. She'll portray a courtesan, who is involved in mob business. Ajay Devgan is also going to appear in a key role in the film. The duo will also appear together in SS Rajamauli's 'RRR'.
