It's known that 'Prasthanam' is being remade in Hindi by Deva Katta himself. Sanjay Dutt will reprise Sai Kumar's role in the remake. Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur (of the recent 'Manasuku Nacchini' fame) is the heroine. Its pre-production works are over.

To be produced by Sanjay Dutt Productions and Aakarshan Entertainment, it will go on the floors from yesteryear actress Nargis's (Sanjay Dutt's mother) birth anniversary, which is June 1.

Sanjay is producing this movie for the first time since 2011. This goes to show how much he is impressed with the script. The Telugu version was a critically-acclaimed movie with memorable dialogues. Will the Hindi version too have pathbreaking lines?
