Amala Paul becomes a producer

Actress Amala Paul, who was last seen in Parthiepan directed Kadhai Thiraikkadhai Vasanam Iyakkam' is going to produce a film with a National award winning team. The Thalaiva' actress along with hubby and director Vijay will be producing director Priyadarshan's next film with Prakash Raj in the lead role. The director-actor duo had earlier teamed up for the period flick Kancheevaram' which won the national awards in 2007.
This will be the third production of Vijay after Saivam' and Night Show' which is getting ready for release. For this film actress Amala Paul has joined the production team along with Vijay's father and veteran producer A.L.Alagappan. The production company has been christened as Think Big Studios'.
The as yet untitled film was launched in Chennai yesterday with a formal pooja. The shooting will commence with Prakash Raj and Sreya Reddy donning the lead roles from the mid of August. Santosh Sivan has been deputed to handle the camera while Sabu Cyril who had made wonders with the recently released Baahubali' will take care of the Art direction department.
It is to be noted that Vijay was an assistant director to Priyadarshan before he started directing on his own.
