Mani Ratnam's dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan' is in hectic pre-production mode and the cast is getting bigger day by day. The historical movie is based on Kalki's famous novel of the same name and as of now Jayam Ravi and Keerthy Suresh are said to be playing the lead pair while other heavyweights in powerful characters are Amitabh Bachan, Vikram, Karthi, Mohan Babu, Sathyaraj and Nayanthara.

The latest addition to the cast of 'Ponniyin Selvan' is said to be none other than Amala Paul who is currently concentrating on women-centric films such as 'Adho Andha Paravai Pola', 'Aadai' and 'Cadaver'. The official announcement of the project and the cast is expected in the next few months.
