Actor Vijay Sethupathi had recently started shooting for his next movie VSP33 directed by Venkata Krishna Roganth and produced by Chandaraa arts. The movie was launched with Amala Paul as the heroine, but later she was replaced by Megha Akash and the production house had stated that it was because of Amala's date clashes that she opted out.

Today, Amala Paul has issued a sensational statement revealing that she had not opted out, but was thrown out of the movie. She has said that she had been to Mumbai to purchase clothes for VSP33 and was spending her own money for the accommodation and travel, and for the mere demand of Ooty accommodation for VSP33 shoot, she has been thrown out. She also revealed that Chandaraa arts always mewls of budget issues and all of a sudden she received a message from producer Rathienavelu Kumar that her demands and terms does not suit Chandaraa arts project.

The actress had said that no calls were made to discuss, and she was thrown out, and has added that this has happened especially after the release of Aadai teaser, and it is because of patriarchal, egoistic mindset of Chandaraa arts this happened, and that her image is being sabotaged with rumours. She concluded that Tamil cinema will get good movies only if such patriarchal production houses change their mindset, and also addressed Vijay Sethupathi that she was excited to work with him, and this statement was not intended to harm him, but was to address the rumours spread by Chandaraa arts.
