Director Ameer, known for his movies like Ram, Mounam Pesiyadhe and Paruthi Veeran also turned an actor and had acted in movies like Yogi, and was last seen playing a key role in the Vetrimaran directorial Vada Chennai released last year.

Now Ameer is all set to return to acting as he will be seen in an important role in Arvind Swami's upcoming movie Pulanaivu directed by Santhosh Jayakumar of Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu and Hara Hara Mahadevaki. This movie is produced by Etcetera Entertainment.

Pulanaivu will have Arvind Swami playing a CBCID official while Ameer and actor John Vijay will be seen in vital roles, and the movie won't feature any heroine. Pulanaivu has music by D Imman and will have four songs.
