Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in Hyderabad on Sunday. After a roadshow, which saw the support of Jana Sena, the BJP leader addressed the press and took questions.

When asked about Asaduddin Owaisi's recent statement that the HM can do something about illegal immigrants in Hyderabad, Shah shot back, "When the issue of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis illegally staying in the country comes up, we all know that Owaisi sides with the illegals. If he gives in writing asking me to evict them, I will do that."

This has to be seen as Shah's challenge to the MIM leader ahead of the GHMC elections.

Meanwhile, critics are questioning Shah on his challenge. "Why does he need Owaisi to give something in writing. He is the Home Minister of the country. Why does he need an MP's permission?" a Twitter user asked.
