Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah has contracted Covid-19. The news was on Sunday broken to the world by Shah himself.

Saying that he got himself tested after developing mild symptoms, Shah stated that his health is fine. "I am being admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors," Shah tweeted. He will be admitted to a hospital in New Delhi.

The HM urged those who have come in contact with him in recent days to isolate themselves and get tested.

Considered as the most powerful politician in the country after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah is easily the No. 2 in the NDA government. The former BJP President has been instrumental in bringing CAA, and the abrogation of Article 370.
