The young and sweet looking Amrita Puri was recently bagged an honour...

As a part of the celebrations on women’s month, Manubhai Jewellers in association with WIFT (Women in Film & Television Association) felicitated the ‘Kai Po Che’ beauty for being a young rising talent who has portrayed versatility by taking up unconventional roles at such a young stage in her career.

Hailing from a family which has a business background, Amrita has taken a road which leads her to the media industry. After playing unconventional roles which required me to go under complete transformation to get into the character, I feel honoured and humble to have been felicitated at such an early stage of my career. The characters of Shefali in Aisha and Vidya in Kai Po Che, were similar but yet very different. The characters required me to look as simple as possible contrary to the fashion and jewellery lover that I am, stated Amrita

Sharing more about her love for jewellery, the actress added, For me jewellery is not about being glamorous but something which propagates elegance and at the same time is comfortable to carry. Being felicitated was completely unexpected but definitely an assurance that I am headed into the right direction. And nothing makes it more beautiful than being greeted amid pretty sets of stones.
