When Mahi V Raghav wanted to do a horror-comedy, Taapsee, Srinivas Reddy, Vennela Kishore, Shakalaka Shankar and Tagubothu Ramesh were hardly enthused. "It would be routine", 'Oh! Not Again", "We will be asked to make people laugh by getting scared at the drop of a hat", they said in dismissing Mahi.

But the writer-director had the unexpected in his mind. "This is about humans scaring spirits," he told them. And they got interested.

Featuring Taapsee as a protagonist, it has the likes of Srinivas Reddy and Vennela Kishore in important roles. The list of comedy artistes also includes Posani and Prabhas Sreenu. 'Bhayaniki navvante bhayam', so goes the tag line. Music-directed by K, the technically fine film has cinematography by Anish Tharun Kumar.

The film will hit the screens in August.
