Anirudh with his generation next musical rendition is an youth icon and though there were many hero offers  for him in the past including 'Naanum Rowdhy Dhaan', he has declined it .Now the hot buzz is that Anirudh will make his onscreen debut as Nayanthara's pair in the upcoming 'Kolamavu Kokila' directed by Nelson.

Though official confirmation has not come , the factors that lend credence to this news is that Nelson is Simbu's classmate and Anirudh his junior and all three are long time friends.  Anirudh is scoring the music for 'Kolamavu Kokila' and looks like his friend has finally convinced him to do the cameo and will have about ten minutes screentime.  The film produced by Lyca Productions has Yogi Babu, Saranya Ponvannan and Jacqueline in the cast and will hit the screens in the summer.
