Anjali has broken the shackles of her troublesome family and is now totally independent and concentrating on her promising career, having an interesting lineup of projects like Appa Takkaru` with Jayam Ravi, Mapla Singam` with Vimal and new wave director Karthick Subbaraj`s Iraivi` opposite Vijay Sethupathi.

In an interview to a leading tamil daily Anjali has revealed that though she is required to wear the half saree and skirts in most movies she does not enjoy wearing them. The Kalakalappu` girl prefers jeans and T-shirts while travelling and chiffon sarees and salwars when going to film functions. What many fans do not know about Anjali is that she is a very good fashion designer and is also skillful in doing embroidery work on clothes.
