The showman of Indian cinema Shankar has announced the official Hindi remake of his cult classic blockbuster hit movie 'Anniyan' He has written on Twitter "In this moment, no one will be happier than me, bringing back the larger than life cinematic experience with
@RanveerOfficial in the official adaptation of cult blockbuster Anniyan."

The 'Anniyan' Hindi version will have the young generation superstar Ranveer Singh replacing Vikram as the MPD afflicted protagonist and bankrolled by Jayanthilal Gada under the banner PEN Media. It may be recalled that Vikram played a meek lawyer Ambi whose alter ego Anniyan finished off criminals who get away with their nefarious activities. The third personality was Remo an ultra-modern romantic as well.

Shankar also has signed on to direct Telugu superstar Rama Charan's 15th film produced by Dil Raju. His Tamil film 'Indian 2' starring Kamal Haasan has been affected by multiple delays due to various reasons.
