Sathyaraj likes to do things for a lark.

So he must have been surprised when a gang of men, owing allegiance to the Tamilnadu Nadar Peravai, arrived in front of his house to hold protest.

The protest was organized following reports in a section of the press that the actor had appeared in an 'item number' in a costume resembling former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader K Kamaraj in his forthcoming movie Iyer IPS. The protestors also raised slogans condemning the actor.

Sathyaraj had danced with three actresses - Bobbylona, Junior Silk and Abhinayasri for the film (Iyer IPS) in a costume that was closed to what the late lamented leader used to.

But Sathyaraj never believed that it would lead to such a trouble.

So he himself took the initiative and addressed the protestors and denied reports that he tried to look like Kamaraj in the song. "I respect and adore Kamaraj", he said.

Apparently pacified with his 'explanation', the agitators left the scene.

But whether that is the end of the matter or not is something that is difficult to tell.
