Anupama Parameswaran’s ‘Parada’ Makes a Quiet OTT Entry

Young actress Anupama Parameswaran’s latest social drama Parada has now made its way to OTT, just a month after its theatrical release. Without any prior announcement, the film started streaming on Amazon Prime Video from September 12. Released in cinemas on August 22 with decent expectations, the movie, however, fell short of making a strong mark at the box office. This quick digital release indicates the producers’ attempt to reach wider audiences through streaming.

Directed by Praveen Kandregula of Cinema Bandi and Shubham fame, Parada stars Anupama Parameswaran in the lead role, alongside Darshana Rajendran, Sangitha, Rag Mayur, senior actor Rajendra Prasad, filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Harshavardhan in key roles. Produced under the Anand Media banner by PV Srinivasulu and Sridhar Makkuva, the film is set in a fictional village called Padathi, revolving around a deep-rooted age-old tradition.
