Anushka to rival Keerthy Suresh

Legendary actress Savithri's biopic titled 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' in Tamil and 'Mahanati' in Telugu is almost complete with a only a few portions remaining. The film directed by Nag Ashwin has Keerthy Suresh playing the title role as Savithri, Samantha as a journalist, Dulquer Salman as Gemini Ganesan, Mohan Babu as S.V. Ranga Rao and Vijay Devarakonda in an important role.
The latest addition to the cast is Anushka who has been roped in to play the role of multitalented legendary actress Banumathi who ruled the roost in the sixties and seventies. It is a known fact that Savithri and Banumathi were rivals and it is said that the same would be expressed in scenes between Anushka and Keerthy Suresh in the film.
