Anushka Shetty Pens Heartfelt Guru Purnima Note

On the occasion of Guru Purnima, actress Anushka Shetty shared a heartfelt message expressing her gratitude to her guru Bharat Thakur, along with her parents, family, and everyone who has contributed to her journey. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “To my guru ? Bharat Thakur ? for his grace and guidance always, to my parents, my family, my dear one… to every person known/unknown, to moments/situations each day… all of which have just helped me grow, helped me learn/unlearn… helped me be who I am and the journey continues… Thank you very much. Happy Guru Purnima.” The touching post quickly resonated with fans for its humility and sincerity.

On the work front, Anushka will next be seen in director Krish Jagarlamudi’s intense action thriller Ghaati, co-starring Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu. The film was initially set for release on July 11 but has now been postponed. One of the production houses, UV Creations, issued a poetic statement titled “A Note from the Heart of Ghaati”, saying, “Cinema is a living river… sometimes it rushes forward, sometimes it pauses to gather depth… To honour every frame, every breath, we have chosen to hold its flight a little longer… We believe this wait will make the experience richer, more intense, more unforgettable.”

Presented by UV Creations and produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi, Ghaati marks Anushka’s second collaboration with Krish after their successful film Vedam, and her fourth with UV Creations. Vikram Prabhu plays the lead role of Desi Raju and reportedly lost eight kilos for the physically demanding character. The tagline “Victim. Criminal. Legend.” hints at a layered narrative that delves into moral complexity, survival, and redemption.

The film brings together a strong technical team including cinematographer Manojh Reddy Katasani, music director Nagavelli Vidya Sagar, art director Thota Tharrani, and editors Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N Swamy. Dialogues are penned by Sai Madhav Burra. With its gripping story and intense tone, Ghaati is one of the most anticipated Telugu films of the year, now awaiting a new release date.
