There is one India to which all of us belong. A cosmopolitan land with all the luxuries and riches at just an arm's length. Truly exposed to what one may term as a global village, India is all about modernization, glitz and glamour.

And there is another India. A land which is far away from the materialistic world that we live in and instead is the place for peace and subtle beauties of life. This is the India where Anwar lives - somewhere in the interiors of the country.

Anwar [Siddharth Koirala] was a simple man. For him, everything was good and there was nothing like a wrong deed, act or a person. Happy with his own self and people around him, all he wanted in life was love and be loved. He was taught the same by his mentor Master Pasha [Vijay Raaz] who had a story of his own.

Once a renowned theatre artist, now Pasha was in ruins after the death of his beloved and had left everything that came close to being materialistic. For him, it was now a matter of 'being' there in the world than 'living'. A man with great taste in architecture and classical art, he now survived through begging.

Nevertheless, it was a happy situation for Anwar. He had a beautiful girl named Mehru [Nauheed Cyrusi] as his love and Udit [Hiten Tejwani] as his best friend. Mehru had a problem of her own as she was suffocating in the India she loved in. She wanted to explore the world, see outside the walls of conservative place she lived in and settle down abroad.

On the other hand Udit was a contrast of Anwar since he understood reality and was practical in his approach. He knew that it was not worth to look at everything as white and instead also see the real side of things.

Little did Anwar know that the two who were closest to him would betray him one day!

And when that happened, he was heartbroken, shattered and just didn't know how to get up and rebuild his self again. He ran away from his home and took resort in a secluded building only to find himself being arrested by the police.

His crime? Nothing! He was suspected to be a terrorist and now he had no way to prove that he was not.

To make the situation worse, there were many more characters that got involved to benefit from his sorry tale. Whether it was media, police or government, everyone wanted their share of pie from Anwar. From the media, there were Anita [Manisha Koirala] and Gopinath [Rajpal Yadav] who wanted to cover Anwar's tale in their news channel and local newspaper respectively. Anita and Gopinath were socially class apart from each other. While Anita was a journalist for a leading television news channel, Gopinath write for a C grade newspaper being published from a small town. But their objective was common - to get to the depth of the matter and get that one sensational news that would put them at the top.

On the other hand police had its own battle to fight due to the unrest in the town after Anwar's arrest. S.P Tiwari [Yashpal Sharma] was entrusted the responsibility of getting the law and order in place and being an efficient and honest officer, he went all out to ensure that there is no mishap of any kind. But would that really be possible in the presence of a Minister like the one played by Sudhir Pandey whose only motive is to enhance his vote bank and take advantage of every situation, good or bad, in the area?

How would Anwar survive such diverse circumstances? Or would he able to survive at all? Does he have any hopes whatsoever with none of his near and dear ones around him? Would a complete stranger get him out of the mess he has found himself in?

Will there be Faith, Hope and Love?
