AP again logs more than 10,000 Covid-19 cases

As on July 31 (10:00 AM), Andhra Pradesh logged more than 10,000 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The specific number stands at 10,376. About 61,699 samples were tested. As many as 3,8222 were discharged. Sixty-two deaths took place in the 24-hour period.

Here are the cumulative numbers:

Positives: 1,38,038
Discharged: 60,969
Deceased: 1,349
Active Cases: 75,720

Guntur, Anantapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, among others, saw deaths in the 24-hour period.

A recent report by The Print says that in the last 20 days (as of July 28), there was a 400% rise in the number of cases in the State. The report added that AP has a bed capacity of 39,000, including 4,300 ICU beds and 17,300 non-ICU oxygen beds. Most of these are in government hospitals.
