The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced the Nandi Awards for the years 2014, '15 and '16.

And 'Legend', 'Baahubali-The Beginning' and 'Pelli Choopulu' respectively have romped home the Best Film award for the three years.

What makes the 'Legend' victory all the more special is that Nandamuri Balakrishna has won the Best Actor award and Boyapati Srinu the Best Director Award for the same year (that is, 2014).

The victory of the Rajamouli magnum opus was expected. The Prabhas fantasy took Telugu cinema's fame to an all-time high.

For a "small" film like 'Pelli Choopulu' to have got one more stellar recognition up its sleeve is a matter of pride for Tharun Bhascker and Raj Kandukuri. In April this year, 'PC' had been bestowed the Best Telugu Film award by the National Awards committee.
