AP: Spreading fake SSC time-table can land you in trouble

V China Veerabhadrudu, School Education Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh, has said that the Class X final examination time-table that has gone viral on WhatsApp, Facebook and other social networking apps in the last few days is fake. The authorities have learned about the fake time-table and issued a relevant message.
It has been claimed that SSC exams will commence from May 15. There is no truth in this. No official timetable has been issued. Anybody who is found circulating the false news will be booked under relevant sections (of the IT Act), an official note says.
Such fake news can cause anxiety in parents and students in times like this. Therefore, people must refrain from spreading misinformation, the note adds.
