AR Rahman to build a memorial for mom Kareema Begum

Music Mozart AR Rahman shared a heartfelt video to pay tribute to his dead mother Kareema begum on her first death anniversary. The video also had had photo towards the end. The latest report states that Rahman is building a memorial for his mother.

AR Rahman was raised by his mother from a very young age. We all know that the Oscar awardee is very close with his mother and has praised her sacrifices on stage in many award functions. Rahman is reportedly building a memorial for his mother near Redhills and the video which he shared yesterday is believed to be the prototype of the same.

Kareema Begum died last year on 28th December due to age-related ailments. Rahman, who was born Dileep, was single-handedly raised by his mother (Kasthuri Sekhar) after his father and music composer RO Sekhar died when Rahman was only 9 years old.

On the professional front, his last score for Dhanush's Atrangi Re was a blockbuster. The songs melted our hearts and mended our scars. He Is also returning to Malayalam film industry after a long gap.
