Legendary music director AR Rahman, it is known, has next turned a producer-cum-scriptwriter for the movie '99 Songs', which he has bankrolled on YM Movies in association with Jio Studios.

The romantic drama is directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, and stars Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas. Although '99 Songs' was supposed to release in 2019 itself, the release has been postponed indefinitely due to some issues.

Yesterday, Rahman announced that the film's first single is out, saying, "Extremely Happy to be Collaborating with #SonyMusic for 99 songs Global Music Release. #JioStudios #99songs".

This is when a netizen tried to troll Rahman by asking him if the movie would be releasing in 2050, obviously taunting its unusual delay. At this, the celebrated musician replied: "Today". This is called cool attitude, isn't it?!
