Pandemic has brought everything to a standstill and not just the people but also the stray animals are affected. Big Boss fame Actor and Model Arav who once was a heartthrob of TN took an initiative and was busy feeding stray dogs in his neighbourhood during this tough time.

A brief video he posted on social media imploring others to donate food and water to stray animals quickly went viral. Several others were motivated and began feeding strays in their neighbourhood as well. Arav has already gathered group of people who are dedicated to assisting stray dogs.

In a recent interview he said "Whenever I stepped out to buy essentials or went to the ATM, I found homeless people not wearing masks. So, I started buying them masks and educated them about Coronavirus. I also started giving them food. Since I was doing this regularly, a lot of strays used to crowd around my car for food. Over time, I realised that there were several NGOs and volunteers who were feeding homeless people. But the dogs and cats were left alone, to fend for themselves. That’s when the idea of feeding strays struck me."

The casual video he put up on social media received lot of love from netizens and many started feeding the stray animals. He adds "With the video going viral, several people came forward to help strays in their neighbourhood. Almost 60-70 people said they started doing this after seeing the dogs starve. They tagged me in their posts and I started sharing their pictures and videos to encourage them."

It is notable that following this initiative many brands have come forward to provide food supplies. Though many have started labeling this as publicity stunt, he doesn't seem bothered by it. He has also set up food dispensers around chennai with the help of support group he gathered and is encouraging people from all over Tamilnadu.
