Today's box-office release, 'Butta Bomma', has got Arjun Das in an out-of-the-ordinary role. The 'Kaithi' (2019) and 'Master' (2021) actor, expectedly, is receiving appreciation for his measured performance in the movie.

Arjun's presence in the second half amps up the mood and lifts the drama. No wonder he is making an impact. In the scenes with Anikha Surendran, Navya Swamy, and/or Surya Vasissta, Arjun dramatically delivers goods.

Directed by newcomer Shourie Chandrasekhar T Ramesh, the film came his way because producer S Naga Vamsi felt he would be the right bet. The call proved to be wise.

The actor, after playing negative roles, is staring at a bright future in Telugu cinema. In a recent interview, Arjun suggested that he is expanding his horizons. He is not playing negative roles these days. "I am accepting only lead roles as of now. If something really exciting comes my way, I will definitely be open to playing negative roles. I am otherwise consciously staying away from negative roles," he added.

Arjun's baritone voice has come in for praise today. "My voice might make filmmakers assume that I am apt only for angry young man roles. But it doesn't limit my horizons. I can play vulnerable roles as well. I can play romantic characters," the 'Andhagaaram' actor said recently.
