A.R.Rahman receives yet another prestigious award

Music composer A.R.Rahman who has received two Oscar awards. Golden Globe Awards, many National awards, Filmfare awards and a numerous other awards was honoured with yet another prestigious award given to the members of Indian music fraternity.
Rahman received the Hridayanath Mangeshkar Award given on behalf of the Mangeshkar family. The award was instituted four years ago. Veteran music composer and singer Hridayanath Mangeshkar's sisters and renowned singers Latha Mangeshkar and Asha Bosle have received this award. India's most respected actor Amitabh Bachchan and veteran Bollywood actress Sulochana are the other two recipients of his award.
The award was presented to Rahman by renowned Indian filmmaker Subash Guy with whom Rahman had collaborated for one of his initial Bollywood films 'Taal'.
Hindustani music expert Vishwa Mohan and music composer Ricky Kej, both recipients of the prestigious Grammy award also took part in the award function.
