Arun Jaitley is no more. He died at the age of 66 today at 12:07 pm at AIIMS in New Delhi.

The former Finance Minister was admitted to the hospital on August 9. From day 2 onwards, the hospital stopped giving health updates. For the past three days or so, many senior leaders from BJP and other parties started visiting him at the hospital. He had been critical on and off.

The BJP has lost two senior leaders in less than a month. Sushma Swaraj passed away just a few weeks back. Jaitley was not given a ministry by Modi in the second term keeping in view his health condition.

A member of parliament, Jaitley was known for his eloquence and middle path in economic policy. He served in key portfolios in the Vajpayee government as well.
