Arun Vijay's 'Yaanai' to be pushed to a later release date? - Know why

It was earlier announced that Arun Vijay starrer 'Yaanai' directed by Hari will release on June 17. The trailer received a positive response from the fans and the film is expected to be a hit venture. In the past few days, Director Hari and Arun Vijay have been visiting theatres all over the state to promote the movie.
Now, it is being reported that 'Yaanai' is most likely to be pushed to a later date. Sources say that the makers have to make the tough call as Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' is still dominating the box office. Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was released on almost 800-900 screens in Tamil Nadu and is still holding Housefull shows in the cinema halls.
So, Arun Vijay's 'Yaanai' couldn't get the wide release as expected and the reports suggest that the film might get postponed. However, there is no official update on this yet. Yaanai also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ammu Abhirami, Radhika Sarathkumar and Samuthirakani. It is worth mentioning that the RJ Balaji starrer 'Veetla Vishesham' is releasing as planned in theatres on June 17.
