Director Pa Ranjith, who had directed Superstar Rajnikanth back to back in Kabali and Kaala, is now coming with his next movie which will star Arya in lead role. This movie was announced officially by Arya recently on Twitter, and he had revealed that he is playing a boxer in this movie.

Said to be based on the life of boxers in North Madras, and set in the 80s, this movie is rumoured to be titled as Salpetta or Sarpetta Paramabarai and an official announcement is expected soon. This is Arya's 30th movie, and is produced by K9 Studioz.

While it was said that Arya 30 will have actor Kalaiyarasan in an important role after Attakathi, Madras and Kabali, it has been revealed that Santhosh Prathap, who has acted in movies like Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam will also be seen in an important role in the movie, and he has developed his physique to play a boxer.
